Hi Humans,
My friend Russell has suggested an excellent idea to help
gun safety. Make a law that mandates liability insurance for all guns (like you
have with automobile insurance). It would have a win win effect. It would
protect the gun owners who get sued. It would compensate the victims of gun
violence (or their families if they are deceased). And once the big insurance
companies have a financial interest in gun safety, they will promote it with
clout. But, unfortunately, the NRA probably wouldn’t give their Republicans in
Congress permission to enact such a law (unless Congress becomes less
Republican).
